## Sharing insights on my take of wedding photography, elopements and industry trends

I recently had the opportunity to be a guest on the German [Getting Ready podcast](https://gettingready-podcast.de/?ref=blog.sturmsucht.de), where I shared my perspective on wedding photography and the evolution of my creative journey.

During our conversation, we explored how I first entered the world of wedding photography, how my style has transformed over the years, the natural progression of finding my authentic voice as a photographer and how that has shaped the Sturmsucht brand today.

We delved into my philosophy as a wedding photographer and why I believe this role extends far beyond simply capturing images: a supportive presence who guides couples through their special day, helping them navigate emotional moments while documenting their experience.

A significant portion of our discussion focused on why I've chosen to specialize in elopements. I shared what makes these intimate celebrations so special, particularly for someone with an introverted personality like myself. We explored the definition of modern elopements and the unique opportunities they provide for couples seeking a more personal and meaningful wedding experience.

We also touched on our recent attendance at the [WayUpNorth](https://wayupnorth.co/?ref=blog.sturmsucht.de) conference in Berlin, examining the current luxury wedding trend that dominated discussions in the wedding photography industry and offering my perspective on this trend and the importance of staying true to your own values and vision.
